Is it North Korea, or China?
There are two conflicts that make the media market: The one involving Israel, and the one of the Korean dispute.
The first issue is composed of serious characters evolving in the narrative of a western spaghetti, as some of its chapters involve a tank targeting a boy throwing a stone, or an F-16 chasing a horse rider.
The second conflict is made of funny little Chinese (who call themselves North and South Koreans), but of much more serious weapons, crowned by Nuclear missiles.
It was on standby during all the cold-war, with each side facing the other with loaded guns. But lately, the North became more aggressive, with 2010 declared as the hottest year since 1953.
Observers are linking the escalation to the change in the North-Korean leadership, and this is their way to say that they absolutely don't know anything about what's going on there.
The country is totally closed, and they can't get in without permits and a designed escort. Today's North Korea is like the Sakoku Japan.
And in a world of speculations, let's speculate!
What if China was the force behind the Northern aggressiveness? We all agree that the "Democratic" state's economy depends heavily on the Capitalist Soviets, so why not simply looking to North Korea as a client state, or a satellite, of China, obeying its orders?
China has been growing like a giant in all levels, and it is at this point of its expansion where it needs an enemy to fight, and its millions of soldiers and citizens-slaves to find an occupation other than social and political claims.
Its traditional enemy, the United States of America, is living the worst economic crisis of its history, coupled with a military fiasco in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as a weak political system, with the Republican-Democrat dispute.
Can the Chinese dream of a better momentum? Hell, no! Time has come for the long-awaited revenge.
The US are now sending troops and organizing military drills in the Korean peninsula, against the warnings of North Korea and China.
I really hope this is not a trap that will engulf the American Empire like the one that broke the USSR in Afghanistan. I do not like the US foreign policy, but I know that a Chinese World will be worst than today's, way worst.
