A Palestinian solution for Haïti

After the damaging earthquake that stroke the island, Haiti is now waiting for the exterminating hurricane. Tomas they call it.

For many observers, this lovely gift of God will destabilize whatever efforts that have been made to help the suffering Creole nation, spreading Cholera and smashing the temporary refugee’s camps.

That’s what turned on the Machiavellian part of my mind!

There are still lots of empty lands in the US. Haitians should be moved there until their former French masters, helped by Spain and why not mighty America, take on their historical responsibilities and rebuild the island. I am sure the big-hearted and peaceful Israelis who are campaigning for Darfur will organize some fundraisings for the cause. Haitians will be settled down in the southern parts of the US, either by displacing the rich Texan white-men (in your dreams), or by sending away the Neck-less Latinos; losers, looters and drug dealers.

Latinos can be settled in whatever English-speaking country that is ready to accept them, or -to be fair- in any land they will ask for, following the UN Right of Self-Determination. After all, they are Latinos, and would it be Cuba or Ushuaia, they will feel home there more than in California or Florida.

Palestinians, for instance, feel better in their Lebanese or Jordanian camps than in the heart of the Holy Kingdom of Israel.

Once Haiti rebuilt, with a lot of hotels, resorts, casinos and chemical industries, it will be up to the Developed countries to decide. Should they give the country its independence and settle the Haitians back, after they have agreed to pay the debts over 150 years? Or rather keep the island and share it?

The latter is, in my opinion, better. Haitians are better in the States, where they will work for cheaper rates and buy phones and TV’s. Working for your credit history is in any way better than working as the victim of History. Moreover, sending Haitians back home will bring the Latinos back as well. And this, we don’t want! Why did we erect that fence then, buddy?

And if someone proposes a One-California-State-Solution, just tell him that the natural resources are not enough to encompass Haitians, Latinos and Whiteners.

Something similar happened to the Palestinians in 1948, so let's do it again. All we need is a UN resolution, an arm sale, and a lot of propaganda!
